The Togian Keychain is built around a single cowrie shell — white on the outside, warm brown at the opening — threaded onto a black cord and suspended from a silver lobster clasp. Below the shell, three matte black wooden beads lead into a full, dense black cotton tassel. The result is something between an accessory and a small object of beauty.
Clip it to a bag, hang it on a door hook or wall peg, or rest it on a tray beside your keys. At 25 cm, it has enough presence to be noticed without being excessive.
Why We Selected It
The Togian is the more graphic companion to our Kai Shell Keychain — same Indonesian craft, a different mood entirely. Where the Kai is clustered and textural, the Togian is linear and composed: one shell, three beads, one tassel. The black and white palette is precise and versatile, sitting naturally against marble, dark wood, or a white linen bag. Each piece is handmade — the cowrie shell varies slightly in shape and tone from piece to piece.
